TIGER'S EYE by Jon
Ber
The Brown and
Golden variation of genuine Tiger's Eye, with dark and
bright bends, are the most common, but the gemstone also
appears in Red, Black and Blue. Neither is enhanced.
Tiger's Eye has such a strong following in Africa, that it
was for a while, considered as a National Treasure, and was
banned from exports in some southern countries such as
Namibia, South Africa and Lesotho.
I spent some three years in Africa, traveling & trading
with a variety of tribesmen artist and venders in a way few
men before me could. (Coming soon...my trips to and in
Africa.)
The Brown and Golden variation of genuine Tiger's Eye, with

It is believed, that the stone has great healing powers. It
is also attributed such qualities as the development of
courage and prosperity.
Easily recognized gemstone, the Tiger's Eye, despite its
relative availability, is the most artificially imitated
semi precious stone.
Imitation includes mass produced plastic beads and
cabochons, in all colors, with fancy names such as "Cat's
Eye." These men made imitation are sometime described as
"Fiber Optic" jewelry.
